Aspiration of Eli Falafel
Eli Falafel stands as Shanghai’s pioneering Lebanese restaurant, representing a remarkable journey from humble beginnings to becoming the city’s most acclaimed Middle Eastern dining destination. Founded by a passionate Lebanese expat couple, this restaurant chain has successfully bridged the culinary traditions of Lebanon with the cosmopolitan tastes of Shanghai, creating an authentic dining experience that serves both the local Chinese community and international residents.
The Begining
From a Mobile Booth to the Best Labanese Food in Shanghai
In 2015 we started selling Lebanese Food from Mobile Booth at the old market on Jia Shan Road. Our little Booth became very popular and our reputation grew. We then decided to open our First Eli falafel in July of 2017, on Middle Wulumuqi Road.




Culture and Community
We explicitly caters to both local Chinese diners and the international expat community, creating a space where cultural exchange occurs naturally through shared dining experiences. We recognizes food as a universal language that can break down cultural barriers and create connections between different communities.
We accommodates various dietary requirements, offering extensive vegetarian and halal options while maintaining attractiveness to general audience.
